Description

NGC3293 is an open star cluster which seems to be embedded in a nebula of Hydrogen, Sulfur and some Oxygen. The estimated distance from us is somewhere between 8000 and 9000 LJ. It is not completely confirmed that the nebula is caused by the cluster but it is assumed. The cluster itself is an area of active star formation - all stars there are pretty young, only a few Millions of years old.
This image was taken with an CDK24 and a QHY600M camera, operated by TL in Chile. The processing was done with APP, AffinityPhoto2.1 and Photoshop. The raw data are 28x600" Ha, OIII and SII, with a total exposure time of 14Hrs10min. The color scheme is the Hubble color mode.
